Farewell

Words and Music: Hyrim de Guillon

Farewell until the fall of night that doesn't bring a tear
To fill the darkness with regret that I can't hold you near.

Farewell until the break of dawn that I don't shape your face
From sunlight falling on my bed, across your empty place.

Farewell until you haunt my dreams no longer in my sleep
And I can roam the paths of night and you and I don't meet.

Farewell until my burning heart cools to its iron core
And my eyes can gaze on present days and not on days before

Farewell until my mind can dwell on something past defeat
And making such a bitter pill of memories once so sweet.
