Pavilion Hymn

Dedicated to the work of the fabled five, led by Rhianwen,
who in seven days turned bolts of fabric into our new home.

I sing here in praise of our home in the field.
It gives us more shelter than our well-famed shields.
A beacon for kinsmen when battle is done,
Beneath the pavilion we gather as one.

'Twas born with our Kingdom, the fruit of wise plan,
Built with the hard work of Hrolf Ulfsson's hands.
'Twas there we returned when bridges were won,
Beneath the pavilion we gather as one.

Through the long years its travels have grown.
And by its arrival our presence is known.
Sheltering all from the heat of the sun,
Beneath the pavilion we gather as one.

By wind and rain battered it started to leak
But through their great efforts in barely a week
A new home for Kingdom, let praises be sung.
Beneath the pavilion we gather as one.

No Palace for monarchs so lofty and proud,
But built for the use of the commoners' crowd,
Be they home-born or foreign, we bar entry to none.
Beneath the pavilion we gather as one.

Gem of the Heartland, the focus of hopes,
Friends what have we built with just fabric and ropes?
The strength of our people, new glories begun
Beneath the pavilion we gather as one.
